Our Founder

Michelle Button

Michelle is a highly experienced Educational & Developmental Psychologist and Board-Approved Supervisor who has spent more than 20 years supporting individuals, families, schools, and emerging psychologists. She brings deep clinical experience from educational environments, alongside strong leadership and program development experience from her years at Learning Links.

Supervision is one of Michelle’s greatest passions. She has supervised provisional psychologists, early-career professionals, Educational & Developmental registrars, and practitioners transitioning into assessment-based roles. Michelle is known for her calm, supportive, and structured approach—balancing reflective practice with clear guidance to build competence and confidence.

Her extensive assessment background including cognitive, educational, adaptive, behavioural, and developmental assessment forms a core part of her supervision and workshops. Michelle supports supervisees in understanding the nuance of assessment planning, administration, formulation, and feedback, always emphasising neurodiversity-affirming practice and contextual considerations across home, school, and community settings.

Michelle has also designed and facilitated training programs, university teaching units, and professional development workshops. Her teaching spans Educational Psychology, Assessment & Intervention, Inclusive Education, and Adolescent Development. She has a unique ability to break down assessment processes into practical, meaningful steps that empower practitioners to deliver high-quality, ethical, and child-centred work.
